While playing music with friends in high school, Nikolas Geerken found his
love for film scores. From Philip Glass, and Hans Zimmer, to John Williams, and
Bernard Herrmann, the dynamic approaches used in musical storytelling
were expansive and captivating.
Geerken then went on to study Cello and Music Theory at The University of
North Carolina at Charlotte under Dr. Miranora Frisch and Dr. Jacqueline Yost,
while also obtaining degrees in both Anthropology and Film Studies.
Since finishing university, he has composed music for many mediums, including: feature films,
short films, commercials, podcasts, video games, and even a live musical.
He currently resides in Athens, Georgia and is actively pursuing new opportunities.
